Spiderman will be swinging into Cinemas Soon
After Captain America Civil War the next in the Avengers chapter will be Spider-Man Homecoming. Even though Spidey isn’t an Avenger yet. Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr) will play a key role in the film.
The story follows Peter Parker aka Spider-Man who is played by Tom Holland. Under the “watchful eye” of Tony Stark, Peter learns to use his powers and starts to embrace his new identity as Spider-Man. He also tries to return to his daily routine. Bullies, school, homework and his Aunt May. Until the fearsome Vulture appears.
The film is directed by Jon Watts and set to release on the 7th July this year. Michael Keaton is best known for his role as Batman stars as the Vulture. Everyone is riding the Marvel train now! Fans of the wall-crawler will remember the Vulture, him being one of Spider-Man’s first villains. Zendaya best known for starring in Shake it Up is playing Michelle who many suspect is a love interest for Peter. Even though she seems to want nothing with him in the trailer. Marisa Tomei plays Aunt May only seen for a few minutes in Civil War.
At least this friendly neighbourhood hero looks like he might be a teenager like the comics. Unlike previous actors who were in their late twenties. This movie will not include the Uncle Ben story. This is a good move made by Disney as audiences have seen this many times and have grown old of it.
Spider-Man movies have lacked in the villain’s department apart from the first two made starring Toby Maguire. With the fail at Venom and Electro, we weren’t too sure about the Vulture. Though I have to say he look like the real deal. Tom Holland says that the first time he (Spider-Man) encounters the Vulture, Peter gets the living daylights scared out of him. It has been revealed that the Vulture’s flight suit is made from left over Chitari tech from the first Avengers movie.
Now we are talking about Spider-Man, I believe Disney’s decision to cast a younger Peter is a very good idea. This way we can really see Peter’s journey. With Infinity War coming up Spidey has been confirmed for it and who doesn’t want to see Spidey make jokes about Thanos.
There has been confirmation of a sequel for Spider-Man. The sequel has been confirmed for July 5th, 2019. I hope you are looking forward to this Spider-Man movie. I believe we could be seeing the best Spider-Man movie yet.
