Geneva Motor Show 2018

The Geneva Motor Show, since its start in 1905, has become the major car event of the year. Last year’s show displayed the likes of the McLaren 720S, the Ferrari 812 Superfast and many other pioneering cars, with new and exciting technology. Every motor show has become a place where automotive companies have been able to showcase their cars and new technology and the Geneva Motor show this year was no different.

The motor industry has become bigger and better than ever before, meaning automotive companies have been pushing the boundaries, with records being broken every year, and the bar set higher. Here are some of the stars car from this year’s motor show:

Ferrari 488 Pista

The brand-new instalment to the 488 line brings to the table to most powerful v8 in Ferrari’s history with an alleged 711 bhp. The Pista, meaning track in Italian, is a more powerful version of the 488 GTB. It will cost around £250,000.

McLaren Senna GTR

Unveiled at the 2018 Geneva International Motor Show, the McLaren Senna GTR Concept produces more power and torque than the road-legal McLaren Senna and achieves the quickest McLaren lap times outside F1.

Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro

The brainchild of Adrian Newey, the most successful Formula One designer of all-time, and the product of the collaboration between Aston Martin, Red Bull and Project AF Racing, just 25 Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pros will be built. Deliveries are expected in 2020. All cars are already sold.

Rimac Concept 2

Croatian manufacturer Rimac has revealed its second electric supercar: the concept Two. It follows the Concept_One, it has an insane 1,888 bhp and 2,300 Nm of torque. It’ll do 0 to 62 mph in 1.85 seconds and can hit 258 mph.
