As England approach the Russia 2018 World Cup, the team need to practice on their gameplay skills, and review the factors England need to improve in. In this article I will highlight all the reasons why England will probably not win the World Cup this year.

Firstly, the national team’s players do not have enough experience and player development compared to other national teams such as Belgium, France, and Germany etc due to the fact that the players in the team do not get enough regular club football games. Many of England’s experienced regular-club-playing first team regulars such as Cahill, Smalling, Vardy, Lallana and Hart are starting to approach the end of their international and club football careers so when they leave the England football team will be considerably weaker.

Also many of the younger players on the team do not play first team regular club football leading them to not have as much player development and gain less player experience; compare this to younger players of other teams who play for the top team’s club regularly such as Spain’s Alvaro Morata who is only 24 years old but is Chelsea’s main striker and scores a lot of goals, compared to Loftus Cheek, 22, who plays less regular football and does not play for a top club therefore making it harder for him to develop as a player as he has less skilled players on his team so he does not have as much competition, also giving him less player development, as he doesn’t have the top-class players to learn from.
