This year at the annual Mobile World Congress, HMD Global (The Finnish company behind the latest Nokia Phones) announced the re-creation of Nokia’s most widely recognised phone, the Nokia 3310. HMD Global also released three other Nokia phones: the Nokia Three, Nokia Five and Nokia 6.
The new Nokia 3310 will be sold with the low price tag of £42 (€49), compared to the price of the original Nokia 3310 (£129). Some of the first version Nokia 3310’s are currently being sold on EBay for up to £999, because of this recent launch. The release date for the new phone has not been publicly released however, it is expected to be available this summer.
The new model of the iconic 3310 is now much thinner and has a 2.4 inch colour screen (not a touch-screen). It still has all the iconic buttons on the front with a newly added headphone jack, a SD card slot, a two MP camera and a 2.5G Mobile network connection. With these features packed in, it surprisingly only weighs 79.6g while the original weighed 133g. It also includes a modern version of the iconic Snake!
