A video of two men dancing to Ed Sheeran’s popular hit single, Shape of You, with an added Bhangra twist, has been shared widely across social media.
The video, which is taking the internet by storm, features two dancers from Canada’s Maritime Bhangra Group and has been shared more than 4,600 times on social media. The duo are hoping to raise awareness of Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and have asked viewers to donate to the MS Society of Canada. “We are group of youngsters from Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada who have a mission of dancing to help people by raising awareness and money and act as a medium to start dialogue on issues important to our international community,” Hasmeet Singh Chandok, one of the founders of the group, told The Independent, “We don’t do anything special, it’s the people who make it special,” he added.
The comments on the video have been very supportive and one user wrote: “It’s great to see you have come through.Multiple sclerosis needs more exposure so that we can find a cure for this horrible disease from a MS Warrior!” It is not the first time members of the group have won over the internet with their dance moves. Last year they uploaded a video shovelling snow while dancing to Sia’s song, Cheap Thrills. It was watched 2 million times and received more than 28,600 shares. The video was uploaded to raise awareness for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a nervous system disease that attacks nerve cells called neurons in your brain and spinal cord.
